Who Do You Say I Am?
Jesus asks us the most important question in life: Who do you say I am? He doesn't want the right Sunday school answer, but your honest answer. In whatever circumstance you find yourself in life, who is God to you in those circumstances? Our culture has lots of ideas of who Jesus is and we take some of those ideas on. God wants to start a conversation on this question so that each of us can discover the real God.

Worry, it plagues us all, whether it is about money, success, being liked, the safety of those we love or a host of other reasons. Jesus asks us the question, "Why do you worry?" He doesn't ask it in an accusing way, but as a way to draw us out to examine our worry more and ultimately let Him help us find freedom from worry.

Today our culture's social and political currency is condemnation. If you disagree with me, you are evil or lack compassion, are not loving, or are racist - or any number of horrible labels. How does Jesus' question, "Has no one condemned you" lead us to a better, more peaceful, healthier way to live? The answer to this question, and our experience of God in it, is at the very core of what it means to follow Jesus and be a Christian.
