Often we reduce much of our parenting tactics and goals to rules and consequences to teach character.  The law of God is good and has value, but it also has limits. And because we don't often understand the purpose and the limits of the law, we raise kids who are subject to either being moralistic and rigid, or prone to abandoning their faith...like so many are doing today.  How can the gospel teach us the value and limits of law so we can be better parents?

The needs around us are overwhelming.  Our hearts can't handle it….only God's heart can handle all of the pain and need in the world.   God doesn't call us to meet all the needs, He shares with each of us a portion of his compassion and asks us each to do our part.  And in doing our part with Him, we leave a legacy.  Love Believes.
